The Honorable Bishop Jeffery Davis Goldsmith

Jeffery Davis Goldsmith was born in Oklahoma City on January 21, 1952, to the parents Otis and Frankie Goldsmith. He is the 4th child of eight children.
Bishop Jeffery Davis Goldsmith is the seventh (7th) Diocesan of the Oklahoma State Council, Inc. He is a son of the Oklahoma State Council and the first native Oklahoman to hold this office.
Bishop Goldsmith faithfully and reverently served under the leadership of Diocesan Bishop Vanuel C. Little, Sr., for 24 years.
He was baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and filled with the precious gift of the Holy Spirit in 1974.
Bishop Goldsmith and Regina A. Goldsmith were united in marriage in 1976. They have been married for over 40 years. They have three sons, three daughters, numerous grandchildren and are great grandparents.
He was a member of Christ Temple Church and served under the pastorate of the late Suffragan Bishop Emeritus Charles W. Meadows for 19 years. He served faithfully at Christ Temple Church as Sunday School Teacher, Vice and President of the youth department, and as a Deacon.
He accepted his call to the ministry in 1981, licensed as an Elder in 1985, and Ordained as an Elder 1992. He served as Assistant to his pastor at that time.
In 1993 Bishop Goldsmith was granted approval of the Oklahoma State Council to start a church in the Northwest area of Oklahoma City.
Bishop Goldsmith attended Oklahoma City Public Schools, vocational schools and attended Rose State College in Del City, Oklahoma, where he majored in marketing.
He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s in Pastoral study. He holds an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Aenon Bible College in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Bishop Goldsmith owned and operated “Goldsmith Construction Company” in Oklahoma City for a number of years. In 1976 became an employee of Oklahoma Natural Gas where he retired after 24 years.
He is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Emmanuel Tabernacle, founded in 1993, President of Emmanuel Tabernacle Ministries, Inc., in 2002.
As part of the Oklahoma State Council, Bishop Goldsmith served as Lay-Director (1994),
Assistant Treasurer (1995), District Elder (1997), 1st Vice Chairman (2001), Suffragan Bishop (2003), Chairman (2004).
On the National level of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc., he has served as
Lay-Director, Diocesan Bishop of the Nevada District Council (3 1/2 years). During his tenure as Diocesan of the Nevada Council, he elevated the first female to the office of District Elder.
Bishop Goldsmith started the Uganda Apostolic Fire Committee in 2014. This committee grew from one church to 80 churches in a very short period of time. He started “Emmanuel Tabernacle” Campus in Kampala, Africa. He adopted and continues to support the “God Is Able School and Orphanage”, located in Africa. The school started with 22 children and now has over 60 in attendance.
In the community, Bishop Goldsmith has served as a Board member on the “Citizens for Juvenile Justice in 2001, Chairman of the “Primary Nine Jail Committee” appointed by the Oklahoma County Board of Commissioners in 2003. Board member of One Church One Child of Oklahoma.
Aenon Bible College Board of Directors (2003). He served as Secretary and Vice President of the Aenon Bible College, Auxiliary Director of the International Single People’s Auxiliary, Who’s Who 2005-2006 Edition for Accomplishments and Achievements in the field of Religion and Membership Organization.
Received citations from State House of Representatives and State Senate.
Has been asked and has rendered the invocation for the Oklahoma City Mayor at City Hall, Oklahoma County Commissioners, State NAACP and the Thunder basketball team.
Bishop Goldsmith has remained faithful to God, to leadership, and to serving and supporting the Oklahoma State Council since 1974.
